- The majority of smokers would like to quit smoking.
- More than half of all smokers intend to quit smoking within the next six months and over 80% of smokers have tried at some time in the past to quit smoking.
- NSW Health provides information to assist people making Quit attempts.
- The Quitline has QUIT advisors who have received cultural awareness training from the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council and are now available to assist Aboriginal people to quit.
