SmokeCheck Ngaina newsletters

About our name Ngaina

The word Ngaina is from 'The Sydney Language' and means "to breathe". The work of SmokeCheck supports Aboriginal communities in NSW to breathe clean fresh air!

In consultation with the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council (MLALC) SmokeCheck chose the word Ngaina as the name for the SmokeCheck newsletter. The MLALC are the legal custodians of the land and culture of the University of Sydney where the SmokeCheck Program resided (2007-2012).

Six issues of the SmokeCheck Ngaina newsletter were produced.
